Put a cat filter on the fuel system, I almost went bankrupt pulling a 53ft goose with a duramax. Blew up 3 of them pulling steel beam loads. Then I bought a cummins with 770k with a 5 speed and it was the best truck ive ever owned. Wont ever own any other truck besides a cummins.

I love all the bad mouthing, I have found a few friends 5 year old low mileage trucks for absolute dirt money because of it, and I know the secrets to make them run.

I have less money in my 04 then my last 2 7.3, average 3 mpg better, and it can get out of its own way

I like the Cummins motors... it's the rest of a 1994 - current Dodge pickup which I can't stand. Still think it was foolish for Cummins to drop the common rail from the 5.9, but it wasn't the end of the world.
Replaced a few water pumps too many on the 6.6 Duramax to be sold on one. If it were me, I'd try to find a good used 6.5 LB7 instead. Although I'm liking the specs now that they've increased the stroke for the 2012 model year.
