Maybe the problem was I had the hair back in a (for me conservative) pony tail and not my more typical halo of madness hair?

There were 2 types of hippy when/where I was growing up. You had the druggies who self medicated out of society rather quickly. Then you had the ones that I hung out with that moved out of town because it was just better for everybody that way. Didn't have the patchouli bathers, crystal goddesses, or urban assault police harassing us that way.

 

It was almost like I made a wrong turn and landed at Walmart.

I don't understand why the protesters don't just pull on some big kids diapers and find a job where they don't have to cross the boarder if the process is that big a deal for them. Nobody is holding a gun to their head and marching them to the boarder.
