Sorry about your luck. Glad it is not you with the blockages. Remember all that OT you were looking forward to with the new job!! This too will soon be a distant memory. Be safe.

I couldn’t find any fuel tank steps for my old arn at the junkyard. Many different configurations but nothing that worked. Finally broke down and ordered new ones from 4 states. And some new fender extensions as one is beat up pretty bad.

As a trucker and part time nice guy, I told the LTL company I would pick up at the terminal so the driver didn’t have to try and navigate a trailer into my neighborhood. Well, figured I would be home so I told them I would meet the driver somewhere and offload. Problem was I had dates mixed up and I was going to Buffalo.
I called Holland (YRC) customer service line and of course it’s an overseas call center (good job YRC, ruin those bought out companies) and the fella can’t get ahold of the terminal. So he sends an email. Driver calls next day. Apparently email never got sent or it was ignored.

I apologize to the driver being he has to move my crap around all day (and it was a long pallet). He was very professional and understanding. Need more like him.

I set up another time that I will be off to meet driver. Turns out that driver changed his run. New guy doesn’t have the freight. They actually couldn’t find it and didn’t know which terminal it was sent back to.

After many phone calls to me, they find it but don’t tell me. Different driver calls Wednesday wanting to deliver. I was just off for FOUR freaking days!!!!!! Nobody is home. WTF man?!?! Why is everything so GD difficult?!?

Luckily, he had a box truck. Told him to drop in driveway. Pallet was light (150lbs) and my girl could break it down when she got home. He told me my verbal confirmation was good enough no signature required. I relay that information to my MIL is who babysitting my son.

Driver knocks on door and needs signature o_Oo_Oo_O

Oh yes... OT is not in short supply. Last paycheck (2 weeks) was out a few mins short of 139 hours... The current payperiod ends today... And I'll be just a handful of hours short of that same 139.

Knowing that I'm making over $31/hr makes working today bearable.

Due to unforeseen circumstances in the economy, we’re going to revamp that to .56/mile *+.01 for hazardous duty pay.
