When I was driving for CR England. My trainer Roy McMullen thought he could bully me into driving at night. At the time I was used to ending my day at 10pm. I drove till about 2245. I saw a parking lot and said F it. Not worth me driving this late at night. Roy tried to tell me that it was required of me to keep driving. I said if it is that important for the truck to turn miles at night, he should do it. For me, night driving I slow down. I will only drive as far as the headlights shine. I would rather drive in the daytime when there is congestion than drive at night. That is the way I felt when I was in training.
After getting under a load with Western Express. That changed. Yet I still got my 10 and was never late for shipper or receiver.Dave_in_AZ, Lepton1 and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
