Ah, the beauty and realism of the old kerosene flares. 3in a box, 3 flags to stick in the pots side if not lit, and 3 railroad fuzee 's.
Never had anyone run over a pot while lit. The set on that #33 IH was put on in the shop at the time of the horns and fifth wheel.
Never opened up as long as I drove it. Garrad trucks did not take the side too often.

Had old #12's open twice. Once to stop for a accident up on IL47 one night and to get out a fuzee to help control traffic.
Had the privilege of hurling the last few spurts into the windshield of an idiot who just kept barreling on in. Pegged it to his windshield at about 20 feet and it was amazing how quick he found the far shoulder to cut grass and dirt as then moseyed on more sedately.

Other was a tire fire south of Holly Springs one night. Must have cut it on something thru the town as I had pulled over at the HS scales and stopped long enough to check the cattle up and and kicked the tire on the circle. Thru town and 4 or 5 miles south, notice sparks coming off LR trailer tandem. Got over and the little pump brass extinguisher to douse it. Smoldering...Cattle to not like to smell burning rubber under their feet.
Set the flares, sent word in for service by the next truck NB, waited bout an hour. Only time I ever had a roadside service. Always made it to a change spot as we carried two mounted spares.

Should be a trial coming up in Guymon, OK for the murder group that killed the two women and buried them in a chest freezer in a pasture.
They went by "God's Misfits" as their church group and had tried to claim Sovereign Citizen status up to the hearing. Then one spilled and pled.

Got a linehaul run to do this weekend. Not a big one, but enough to scratch the itch.

I was sarcastically asked today by a certain doofus about whether or not I work enough hours during the week. I responded with the need of farmers to make hay while the sun shines.

I have little respect for prima donnas.

If he minded his own business, he'd be too busy to mind anyone elses.
