Drove the Mercedes back to my freshly PM'd truck. Found a trailer, drove to the shipper with 42 minutes to spare. Two docks, both full, told to back in when one left. The rookie driver (proudly sporting a 1 Years of Service decal) actually blocked the narrow driveway into the docks while she strapped her load, slid her tandems, did her paperwork, and I don't know what else. I thought about talking to her to let her know she should just pull around the corner to do the necessary, but I just got off home time so I'm not crabby yet.



Got in the dock, ate some chips and salsa, talked to the missus. After an hour the loader dude came out to tell me that he was rejecting the trailer because it had light showing through the floor. Ran across town to get another trailer and bumped the dock again. Just got a green light now.

It's F hot too. But I'm still relaxed thanks to Arturo Fuente.

 

I thought we had some this morning when I looked out the door about 7am. Didn’t smell smoky. Went away after a hour or so. Humidity was sky high so might have been some kind of fog
