I'm of the opinion, pick 1 and leave it alone.

 

Lies all around on this. It doesn't "save daylight" or "protect sunshine," it just forces everyone to change their schedule by an hour, either twice a year or permanently to an hour later so noon occurs at 1 p.m.

The other common lie is that we've had it since WWI. No, it ended shortly after, was used for a few years during WWIi, and then came back in the 60s.

It's only an 8-mile detour. It'll be like driving through Chicago for half an hour. No biggie.

 

I am of the same opinion.

if the time the sun sets or rises causes local concerns just adopt winter or summer hours as appropriate.

The only legitimate concern, enough for me to adjust hours, is so the kids can WALK TO SCHOOL safely in the winter. The easy fix is to start an hour later between thanksgiving and presidents day.
