Never could, he’s my “city Dad”, our wives are great friends ( she introduced us). They already have a hotel booked for next year to come and celebrate. He took me in as a wayward, wild country kid, have made a lot of money together over the years. He’s getting ready to retire, hasn’t needed to be working for a while. He knows that I can’t continue working. I have hung on for a while, he’s seen the ice packs, cortisone shots, and surgeries.
I appreciate the advice and the thought though, no way I can forget about what this man and his family have done for me, nor would I want to, he’s my city dad after all.
