My mom was a awesome painter and I grew up watching him with my mom.

He was such a Fruitcake but soo talented how he could paint . Makes me chuckle whenever I see him now .

Love the memes, wish mom coulda seen them

I take that as a compliment. He saved Brook Shields and had Van Halen play his party. What a legend. Thanks man.

Your my hero just for getting in that cold azzwater.

I tried to surf off the Outerbanks but occasional big looming shadows underneath were enough to convince me it wasn’t my gig.

Now put a sail on it and we’re talking. Been doing that for 30 years.

It’s a little odd how I’ve come about 180 degrees. I used to look at scenes like these and think “stupid idiot moron”...but now after a couple years full time all I can think of is all the ways this could’ve and probably happened that driver had little control over; blown steer, idiot four wheeler, wind, chick flashing her sweater puppies etc.

Thanks. You don’t get a stupid nickname like Otter by being afraid of Duh-duhs or cold water. You get it because you’re too proud to admit you can’t afford a wetsuit. I was 16 or so when I got that moniker. I’m 54 now and Otter doesn’t surf when the water drops below 58°. #### that. I’m too old to have to prove I’m a moron anymore. My record speaks for itself.

10 years ago I was out in Maui and decided I was going to rent some windsurfing gear for the 2 weeks I was out there

I hadn’t been on my short board in 3 years and it would struggle with the weight I gained over the decade from when I first got it.

Get to Ho Akipa beach and proceed to go out with the sinker I insisted upon.

Once I barely got by the breakers and escaped being round-housed I got beyond the point and discovered I had way toooooo much sail area for my fat 46 yo out of shape azzzz.

I struggled to get back to the beach from a few miles away getting flung every 60 seconds , than barely escaped being roundhoused again through the breakers.

I literally have never been soo happy to be back on land. I don’t think my heart slowed down for an hour.

Thought I was gonna have a quick drop off and reload then get dropped off again. WRONG. Still waiting on my reload to be done.

Honorable mention: I also yelled at my ELD for screwing up.
