I'm blown away that these zero circle lawn mowers have 25-40 hp engines. I used to help farm with John Deere field tractors that didn't have much more that, and I was pulling loaded grain wagons.

How much torque does a steam engine have?

That tractor had 650 gallons in of water on it to vaporize and then super heat it up to a certain pressure.

Capable of generating 8000 ft-lbs of torque. Engine weight without water or coal is about 70,000 lbs. Operating pressure is 180 psi.

180 psi is pretty high. 8000 ft lbs is huge

I wondered the same thing, if you're "pouring the coal to it" like he was in the video I'd guess not long but I don't know how long, long is! So still a good question

Back at it. Headed up to Reno yesterday after waiting a bit because some well "driver" spun out and smacked the bridge at Floriston. There was tain and some thunderstorms. That is the place that whenever the road is wet idiots like to play demolition derby at. On the way up I see another rig that decided to go off roading. It went up and over some boulders and the middle of the trailer was almost touching the ground. Made it to Reno without any other excitement. Unloaded and headed back WB. CalTrans reports a car fire just before Emigrant gap oh well no big. Get past Hwy 20 almost to the gap and 80 now closed. Another so called driver spun out and flipped his truck blocking both lanes just west of brake check. F me stop and crawl to gap exit turn around to head back to Reno. I get to Hwy 20 and said F it don't care if it is restricted and road that thang back home. Even after that #### it's good to be back

At the risk of sounding like a girl, are the sand dollars and conks still there. I spent a few summers some forty years ago at Jeckyl island and still have all of moms lamps she made from shells. Gonna take my wife there one of these days. I kinda dig searching for shells. Lol
