I'm about to go on my own and need to get gear for my trailer here in Canada. It's a super-b flatbed with 32' lead trailer and 28' pup. What the best size tarps to get considering I'll be running off the load board starting out so I have no idea what I'll be hauling yet. I need tarps that will work on anything from machinery to lumber.

4 20X24 with a 8ft flap on the 20 ft end and 2 rows lacing on the opposite end
    or 2 24X24 with 2 20X24 all with flaps
3 18 X24 steel tarps with 3 rows of lacing all sides
I found different colored lacing helps me know which one it is before I spread it out all the way

I think if you’ve ever pulled a flatbed, you’d know what you might be needing. Just my thoughts.

11 years and I never hauled anything that needed to be tarped. I have flatbed experience just not tarping.

lumber piled to the 13ft mark front to back on both if KD nav-deck-steel-b-train.jpg
normally 32ft lead and 28ft pup

Well that being said, I guess I’d get a 24x32 with flaps on each end and a 24x28 with flaps on each end. Now you can cover lumber and steel.

Having pulled a super B in the early 90s with a 24X32 double flapped lead tarp and 2 24X16 single flapped the thought of suggesting anyone buy a 24X23 tarp is just plain cruel... It will be 125lbs minimum and if he un-tarps while waiting for the customer to open and having to lift that heavy s.o.b. onto the trailer/tractor fender the thought still makes my back ache.
This is why my earlier recommendation was made.
