If I were in recruiting I would be asking myself (and I would probably also ask the candidate) why someone with an MBA is applying for a driving position instead of a management position.

    Managing people is soul sucking.

Some humans, just DO NOT understand theyre adults, eventually you realize being in management for normal jobs is more like adult daycare and not worth it in the long run.

Now, upper management of a fortune 500, hell ya that's a cake walk.

I never mentioned having an MBA during the interview process. I don’t recall the trucking job applications asking what my highest level of education is. If someone asked me how I got into trucking I have mentioned that I couldn’t find a job in an office after graduating.

    Lonesome and Ddh77777 Thank this.

To add insult to injury you're probably on salary so you can be the free help when the place is short staffed.

I manage a bunch of truck drivers now...truckers, bikers and 13 year old girls are pretty much on the same emotional level.

I worked at a panera bread in college and that place was less of a soap opera than I've seen on the road
