What Is With People Not Paying Attention To Stop Signs??

this was just on my local news!

i dunno, i guess stop signs are for the visitors, not the residents?

 

I have a theory.
Stop signs are all broke.
They must be - nobody stops?
(WOW, nasty bricks to the face.)

 

The ones with the white border are optional stops.

 

But seriously, it does seem to be getting worse.
The old deal of the cop sitting and watching to see if the suspension bobs, and comes back up,
for a complete stop - NEVER HAPPENS.
Likely a slow "roll thru" if any attention is paid at all.
Like the t-shirt - "ZERO F#&%# GIVEN." And they're proud of it?
Sad, and unsafe, state of affairs. Watch it out there. They're all nutz.

 

When I first moved to Albera in 1982 nobody stopped at stop signs, but they all stopped at yield and merge signs. Almost rear ended a few cars trying to accelerate onto the highway.

 

Stop sign violations, red light running, following too closely, most of these resulting crashes are followed by the violator saying, "but it's NOT MY FAULT!" WAA
"The sun was in my eyes," "my attention was diverted by my child crying in the back seat," or any of a dozen other excuses to shirk responsibility for their actions.
One that happens around here constantly, are the idiots that think, "right turn on red" means you never stop, if making a right turn.
Complete imbeciles!

Typical impatient ######## that feel the world revolves around them! Imagine how that person normally drives!

 

It's hard to see a stop sign while looking at a smartphone.
