I don't think its dead. CB has simply been added to the plethora of communication devices we have now.
The amateur disc jockeys don't help.
The amateur preachers don't help. Brothers, I appreciate the message but not at 2am when I just got to sleep. 19 is a trucker channel. Establish a preacher channel and invite people to hear your sermons. Problem solved! -
If you don’t do it on Ch. 19 for maximum annoyance, it defeats the whole purpose.
Brother, you got to take the Gospel to to the people!! -
lol, I won't name the town, the Church, or the man's name. BUT I know of a Church where the Pastor had a CB in his office. Very near a Truck Stop. Every afternoon down on "his" channel he preached. Real fire and brimstone type!

The reason you see 50 truck crashes in snowstorms proves to few run radios
Timin770 Thanks this. -
Same thing and same reason that the internet is dying.. trouble making ########. The only reason to have a CB is so you can talk to the guardshack at shippers or receivers. Or to get news on why the freeway is shut down and not moving.
Timin770 Thanks this. -
Lucky12 Thanks this.

In the 80s and early 90s it was a valuable tool. Now CB means CHILDISH BULL####!I still have my 1977 Lafayette in my truck..most timed it's turned off.Theres no respect or decency these days. The difference between the CB and sesame street?Sesame Street does have a few adults.
