Went to community college for a year while working PT at a skate shop/distributor (Walkers) doing clerical stuff...

Worked at a cat/dog boarding facility (kennel worker and learned grooming) for about a year and a half....

Owned and operated a small boarding and grooming facility for 10 years....

Unemployed for about a year (got burnt out running the business. It's a 24/7 365 days a year business).…..

Went to school for CDL then training for about 5 months combined....

Driving 2 years ( just started with new company beginning of this year) teaming with husband.

    Golf course maintenance.

Best job I ever had. If it wasn't seasonal, and the pay was liveable, I'd still be doing it. Looking back on it now, I should have gone to college to be a golf course superintendent instead of truck driving school.

Valet in my teens to early 20s

Cooked until I was 28 at some nice places and owned a food truck. Got burnt out.

Started driving at 28, I’m 30 now. Always driven tankers. It’s ok, it pays the bills. I don’t know if I’ll do it forever. I get kind of bored. If someone offered me 65k with benefits to run a restaurant I’d do it.

I want to get into running cranes or loaders or something and hauling them. I feel like I would like that more. Working on a project vs. driving from point a to point b.

Can’t complain though I’m making good money and have a good job and my boss lets me work whenever I want as long as I get my stuff done.

Dan.S, Feedman and Oldironfan Thank this.
