I've been trying to call around, and since I have no luck on getting on at Schneider in that field, I wanted to explore more of my options. Thank you in advance!

Pretty sure they hire from Arkansas because their school is in Missouri.

Prime is a mega carrier but their tanker division is very very small compared to the rest of the company. Most, maybe all, of Prime tanker is dedicated so if you don't live where that dedicated customer is located you aren't doing Prime tanker anyway. John Ogren is on YouTube, is a Prime tanker driver. He has good videos describing Prime and tanker. Because tanker is so small you will either have to sit for weeks and weeks wanting to get a tanker trainer or get trained on reefer/flatbed and then one day transfer into tanker. For some reasons people watching YT videos will NOT go watch an old video even if it perfectly answers their questions. They want the YT creator to make a new video every day or week rather than an audience member watching an old video, even if it's accurate.

The above post is a "prime" example of a good "primer" on how to be properly
"primed" for starting out in the world of tanker yanker... :p
