Our system is a little different, but it’s all over the map I had 4 routes this week and 1 rider day. Next week we’re down to 4days and it’s up in the air.

I told the guys get out your rag and paint you’ll be polishing truck rims and painting trailer wheels in the yard.

I went from 20 hours overtime one week, then laid off the next. Main customers were restaurants and schools. The thing is, when this crisis ends those customers are going to be back with a vengeance restocking food and supplies and these food service companies will be caught with their pants down as they have won't have enough drivers to meet demand.

I wonder if they are hoping drivers will sit at home trying to survive on unemployment waiting for a return to work call?.

Going to try landing a full time gig before resorting to agency work. Some of them are appealing though...if the ads are even remotely true. Fly you out to a 3 week gig paying $27 an hour?. Flights, hotel and rental car paid for?. Yeah, I'm not falling for that one so quickly.

I went to a staffing agency in Nashville once. Worked out real good.
Walked in and the lady said; "Great; we have a load going to California."
I said, "That's why I'm here, need a break from California runs."
Then she said, "OK, I have a local run; home every night."
    Of course, I took it.
Didn't plan to stay but a few months, because I like running the roads.

I am starting my part time job tomorrow morning hauling feed to farms on Saturdays and pulling a food grade tanker on Wednesday now that my food service job has slowed down. If it disappears I’ll go full time at new part time job. Not sure if I will get layed off. Not to worried. I’ve always had more work than I needed.
