    Hey everyone,
Today was a very bad day for me. I took the CDL General Knowledge, Doubles & Airbrake Permit test today. I passed the air brake & failed the other two & I'm really upset about It. On my first day of school I had to leave half way through the day because I had a 102* fever..(During Physical) & I completely missed the next day b/c I was still sick. So on my third day I was able to come in still not feeling great but I had to go. I highlighted my book from another students book & learned what I could the 3rd day.
I went home that night and studied for about eight hours or so & took some online tests. I thought I aced the Gen.Knowledge and Failed the Airbrakes, but It was the opposite!! I knew I did bad on the doubles.
My question Is what happends when I go to school tomorrow? I cant get another day off to retake the test, and now I will be behind doing double the work while everyone else Is moving on. This Is an 8 week PTDI school just so you know & It's $6,000.00 that I'm paying for.
Any advice on what I should do? PLEASE HELP :biggrin_2553:

If you don't think you can catch up try getting a doctors slip and see if you can start the next class. I would talk to the schools director and see what they suggest. Hope you get to feeling better.

Thanks for the reply, I guess this isn't a very popular forum. That's ok b/c today went great! I found out that next wednesday the people who got their permits have to take the Hazmat test, so we have off again. The people who failed will retake the permit test wednesday, so there's plenty of time to study. I will get this dang permit on wednesday!!
I wish I could have gotten some replies though, It would have been nice to get some advice at the time but oh well I guess.

Well this is about the fastest paced forum for trucking.. been to many and this one is about the best.. LOL drivers drive not sit on computers on forums.. and when they get their 10 hour break its eat, use the restroom, shower and sleep... Doesn't leave much time to be sitting on the computer.. have to be patience when asking questions... I would of suggested the same thing as norta did, roll back to another class because you could not help getting sick and most schools will understand that.. Keep in mind YOU are paying them to help you learn...

And have patience my man... You are going to need plenty of it if you plan on being a truck driver
