As some of you might know, I am venturing into the O/O side of things, I am wondering what I should bring with me... it's been a while since I drove any distance and a long time since I have had to spend more than 24hrs away from home.
Besides the basics of clothes, and shower kit, and bedding. Is there any thing you all do to make the truck more home like?

Dump the OEM mattress that comes with the trucks. I have a Select Comfort air bed in mine.
Inverter
Laptop with air card
food stock so that if you happen to get to a shipper late at night for an early unload you have some thing to eat and drink, or if you get stuck on the road -

Basic tools to work on your truck.
Paper
Plenty of pens
Rulers (to fill out the log sheet)
Log books
Computer if you have one (if you do get the log program for truckers, great for o/ops) Pm me for more information if you want
Winter coat (some places is still cold< Indy)
Music (cd's, tapes etc)
Cell phone is a must!!!!!
Pictures of family to keep you warm @ night is a must
That's all I can think of for not being a trucker -

Well I don't think the wife will like me picking up anything in the truckstops.... if you know my drift. How can I hang pictures up, shelves, things like that.
I don't want to over burden myself, in the respect that I have to be an escape artist to climb in the bunk.
The mattress thing is a sound investment, as soon as possible, that will be changed.
The reason I am asking this, is that my wife is one of those people who can decorate. I am not looking for a "trick-my-truck" but something that says I am home, even if it only for 4 or 5 days at a time.
