Friends, driving into town this morning, I saw an MBI trailer leaving the landfill that I've never seen before.
It was and end dump, but the body was a cylinder.
I'm very curious as to how it works and what it's function is, and what it's used for.
The rear gate flips up, presumably to dump the contents. I noted that when the driver turned the corner and the gate wasn't secured, and it opened slightly.
Anyone familiar with this type trailer?
Inquiring minds wanna know...
What type of trailer?

Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
sort of sludge trailer or something when I first saw them. I asked an MBI guy at upper Sandusky pilot one day. He said the cylinder shape is supposed to be more aerodynamic and less likely to snag stuff during loading/dumping than the standard square trash boxes and does away with having to tarp the boxes as they’re all enclosed.Last edited: Jan 3, 2023

@LTL Bull
Thanks for that info bro...
Mama and I were discussing it d extensively yesterday, and couldn't for the life of us figure it out.
I hope it works well for them.
Definitely an interesting way to go about it.
