Depends on where you're at, what you got, and whether you AND it are legal.
Personally, I never leave home without one. But that's just me. I'm prepared to accept the consequences.
That whole "....better to be judged by 12 then carried by 6..." thing.RetiredUSN, Busasamurai, Wcampbell86 and 8 others Thank this. -
If you are just a normal driver all you need is a baseball bat and legal knives.
Drivers just have to stay alert in bad areas they deliver and park at truckstops or rest areas. Don't park in isolated areas.HorseShoe, Balakov100, G.Anthony and 3 others Thank this. -
Well do u have a permit, do the state u in allow permit from ur home state? Are u following that state rules by keep the clip 20ft away from the gun? Honestly too many #### rules....probably jail, fine, there goes ur trucking career

you know 80% of threads get flip flopped off topic, And i want the most upto date info.
i currently don't own one would get a consealed carry style if i do what are the odds your truck would be searched
or maybe a nice ice climbing pick would do =D -
A question like that depends entirely on the "where". In some states the cops won't even bat an eye. In some states you would be ok only if you have the appropriate permit. Certain states like Utah offer out of state permits that are accepted in many states. Some states you are not permitted to possess a gun at all without a permit, which would not be issued to a non resident. Some states this will be a misdemeanor, some states this would be a felony.
If you run regional you might be able to get all of the proper permits/licenses in line, maybe not, depending on your states. If you run OTR you are taking a big risk.
