Flying "F" in Resaca, GA doing a split so I don't have to endure Atlanta rush hour traffic.

In the shop in Bismark, ND...

The "check everything light" came on...lol...thats how the shop wrote it up, no joke.

The check transmission light, the HSA override light, the ABS light all came on at the same time, the cruise control won't work, and the gear indicator is flashing "F"...it did this the other day but I was able to clear the fault by turning the battery disconnect off for 15 minutes...it won't clear this time though.

Everything still works and runs fine...the fault has its perks even...put the tranny in manual, hit the downshift and it will downshift and keep on pulling regardless of rpm's....upshift at 1,900 rpms, catch the next gear at 1,600...and keep on going....can't say much for fuel mileage though.

These lil DD13's will do some serious pulling at 1,900 rpms....gave me flashbacks of a truck I once had with an unbridled 550 HP Cummins ISX...man I miss that truck.

I've been having that exact same issue for a couple months now. I'm pretty certain it's and ABS sensor that's getting wet and shorting. I just ride it out and wait for it to go away. I've had it happen both in the rain and while getting the truck washed. I spent 5 days trying to get it fixed in VA only to have them say they couldn't find any codes in the computer and pushed me out the door.

I think they have the trucks cut back too far. My DD15 will pull Fancy Gap at 40+mph in 8th gear once I trick it into going past 1500RPM and stop trying to upshift.

Its not a "wet" issue for me...both times its been dry...I think it has something to do with the traction control BS, which is something I've always felt was not needed on a truck, or even a car...my philosophy is if you can't hold on to the #### thing....you don't need to be driving it.

Both times it happened when there was some loss of traction (or at least it thought there was)...the first time was on a bumpy road... today it was in a pretty rough dirt lot that I was unloading on, it faulted while I was detaching the neck of my trailer with the air to the drive suspension dumped.

They just have too #### much BS on these trucks...it would all be OK I guess if it all worked reliably...but the simple fact is...it doesn't.

Home in Fort Worth, TX. Getting an extra 1.5 days off, but now have two preplans. Dallas to Clarksville, then drop my empty at Tyson, bobtail to Fayetteville, and pick up from a new customer heading to Memphis. About 700 miles by Monday, decent start to the week.
