    I'll be completing CDL school in December I live in Florida and was looking into a Monday-Friday Gig. I got pre-hired at schneider and Cypress Trucking. Schneider said I wouldn't have to work weekends not sure if thats true but Cypress apparently is a weekend off gig. Which company is better? My CDL training is covered for me so I wont owe anyone. If you have any other trucking companies for me to look at that would be great. I don't necessarily need the weekend off just Saturdays. I am willing to relocate if needed. Thanks

    You will work weekends. Weekend, weekday, Shabbot, christian sundays etc. You will work weekends just like any other day.

    Recruiters look for the magic combination of words to lull you into joining them with words you love to hear but never see signed in writing with recruiter's name. Therefore, you will work weekends. Plan on it.

    I stay in Orlando its a near by small town next to Orlando. Thanks for the replies. I'll the free opportunity to obtain my CDL training regardless.

    Watch out for the different people has different idea of what the weekend is. That a little trucking game they like to play. You could get home Saturday at 10 pm and have to leave Monday at 8am. They got you home Saturday and Sunday that's the weekend. That also just enough time to reset your working hour for the week in you log book, a 34 hour reset. Going home Friday even and return to work on Monday is more like 60 hours off and both are the weekend. That's trucking for you.
