Cheap version
Buy a deck of cards and duck tape.
Put playing cards Into bead between I'm and tire. Use duct tape , to hold cards in place.snowman_w900, GrapeApe and Snailexpress Thank this. -
Smear grease on the tire. Paint wheel remove the grease. Instant tire shine.
The cards do work well as well as tearing tape into small stripspeterbilt_2005, snowman_w900, shogun and 1 other person Thank this. -
The card method works excellent. I have used Index cards stacked around the wheel. They tuck right in the bead. Plus you can reuse them.
spsauerland Thanks this. -
I think Minimizer fender makes a shield but like everything they make it ain't cheap.

I'd just run a piece of painters tape (the green stuff) around the bead and then attach newspaper or whatever to the tape.
