When filing taxes as an owner operator can you report fuel and miles ??

    It all depends on how the 1099 is reported to you.

    Some companies report the earnings net of fuel purchases. Therefore, no deduction for fuel is allowed.

    if you go mileage they only deduct .56 per mile, while my actual expenses are 1.49 per mile, so I wouldn't do mileage, sure you gotta give them all the receipts and EVERYTHING but still its worth it, and you'll make more money
