When is low on fuel really low on fuel??

I have most experience in volvos from day cabs to 780s etc, and I have always been able to drive over 60 miles on 0 gallons on the dash. Not sure how many are actually left in there. But I've ran the sucker dry dry dry a couple of times lol. The first time going up dinner with a Columbia at a little over 1/4 fuel it shut off on me. Goes to show that depending on the truck and where the fuel pump is some can drive farther than others

I have a new volvo with 100gl. d shaped tanks and it will easily go 1100 miles,yet my low fuel warning starts at about 600 miles.It was in the shop 4 days recently after the oil cooler went out and they still didn't recalibrate the software.I assume that would fix it,maybe not that simple.

Boy!! That's what I thought. A mile or two from my delivery, maybe a mile at most after that to the terminal and fuel and about two blocks past the Pilot just off the Interstate...

Nope. Empty means empty. Tell ya.
