When they say "I don't have that much in it" is it even a correct statement?

Company policy is that we don't double broker loads. That is: If Landstar takes the load, and then shops it out on the boards to someone who is not a Landstar Lessee or company driver, they're in violation of our policy. Double brokering increases service failure rate, as well as cuts into what you guys are paid on the tail end, because another broker is trying to take a slice out of the pie for margin. It also adds another link in the chain that makes it more difficult for us to find out what's going on with a load if the customer is requesting information. As a smaller outfit, we're reliant on customer service on both ends.

Oh man Dave- That is Tacky as Heck!! They like to call it "Co-Brokering" But thgere's no "Co" When you place a shipment on an unknown carrier ..

I'd be Pizzed as heck If I was the Party responsible for paying Freight Charges. Landstar would Never get another load from me.

But it Does Happen- You gotta watch out for it.

I'll never have any real measure of respect for brokers, simply because they pray upon the less fortunate.
They make money from someone else's sweat, much the same way a pimp does.

But the Bible teaches us of "People who take up, from where they do not lay down. And you know that's how they are, do it is justifiable. "

I mean the next step for me is my own numbers.
And yea, I'll make SF ome brokers a stack of cash, until I can get direct customers, then they can suck someone else's blood.

Well, fair enough, I guess. I'm not gonna change your mind on this one, but this Broker has respect for you and guys like you. I just try to do the best I can to make sure everyone comes out of things happy.

Someone was talking of loyalty to brokers. LMFAO.

Reminds me of the lyrics to the song "New kid in town".

"......will she still love you, when you're not around?"

They all double broker, I see it every day

And that line about "that's all I have" or "I'm loosing money" is baloney. I took a load from Landstar today he kept saying he's loosing 200 on it, wouldn't budge. Guess what on the BOL it shows the rate shipper paid, it was 40 bucks more, he can have it

When the one dude was crying " That money came out of my pocket."
So, it would be better if it came out of mine then? Like I said, these guys need to listen to recordings of their own BS.
