Lots of fuel hauling threads, but none really talking about cryo “adventures”..... is the cryo industry THAT much of a niche, or is it just a big secret how much we love our jobs, and I’m ruining it? LOL

There are a few on here. Seems like a fantastic specialization to get into.

I wound up staying LTL-adjacent, at UPS. I think we both did well for ourselves.

The drivers with the real good jobs
    Rarely talk about them.
It's easier to read about everybody else's misery.

Clean work, interesting customers [sometimes] can be a royal PITA 24/7/365 scheduling and dealing with mis-parked autos at hospitals can be a problem, we used to expect 4 - 5 hospitals per shift.

some exotic stuff goes on, freezing oil filled electric lines for Con Ed. expanding liquid setup recharging Nuke subs pier-side. Watching them freezing hamburgers N stuff was cool too.

Always at 0230 some surgeon's upscale auto parked right over the O2 concrete pad as they are upstairs doing emergency surgery so someone needs to find his keys. that can take a long time.

Then the wait for housekeeping to drag their butts out to clean up the oil dripped on the concrete pad...the more costly the auto, the more likely it marked it's spot.

I remember drivers having me speak with the head of housekeeping and remind him of the purpose of the concrete pad in the first place...
