I am just having some fun. this topic may have been discussed before but I don't really care

what are some of your favorite truck stops, and why?

there aren't that many that I didn't like,

I am going to say the Iowa 80 BUT for a different reason. big parking lot, nearly limitless food options, many of the civilian customers are very attractive. and people who work in the actual restrants themselves are also attractive...I know I have no chance with them so its just a statement of fact

the Flying J in Warrenton, MO but it has a good flying J-like food selection, and an Ex-GF of mine almost worked there, and there are a few cute girls who work there as well

    there is a theme here

but I look at how big the parking lot is, how easy it is to park, how easy it is to find parking, food choices/selection, attractiveness of girls who work there

Iowa 80 way to busy for me. Everytime I've stopped there I always get woke up by some drunken idiot wondering the parking lot, or a moron that decides to work on his truck at 1AM and throttles the engine to about 1800 rpms.

The Petro on 35E just south if Dallas is awesome. Big parking lot, nice clean showers, Iron Skillet possibly the best one. And for us big sweet tea drinkers.....

Petro in Weatherford, TX. Never a problem finding parking at any hour.

TA in Terrell, TX. Same reason.

Sapp Bros. Denver, CO. Good food and clean clean showers

Loves Jackson, TN. The bbq sandwhiches from the bbq shack across the street. Yummy!

Newell Travel Plaza Newton, KS. Old school truckstop with a great restaurant and super nice showers.

Nicks Carlisle, AR. Not a truckstop but has the best catfish ever!

I like a lot of the casinos that are trucker friendly. Plenty of parking for trucks & the buffets are good. We never stay long to gamble

The best T/A I've been to is the one in Vero Beach, Fl. Their buffet is really nice. Last time I was there, they had fried fish and fried chicken on the buffet, which I never eat because of the obvious reasons that they usually suck on a buffet. But the waitress suggested that I would enjoy them, and she was right. The batters for each are made on premises, and were really good. And they used a different batter for each, so it didn't taste the same. Everything tasted home made.
I was in there a few months ago, and they had Perogies on the buffet, and they were sauteed in butter and onions, just like my mom used to make. I think i gained 5 pounds just off of them.
So, next time you're heading down I-95 to south Florida, stop and check them out. You'll be glad you did.

Petro-TA: Mebane, NC. Probably the largest in the state with easily 500+ parking spots, C-Store, Barber shop, Tattoo shop, CB shop, Skillet, Dunkin, and the oher amenities typically found. Oh their laundry room is large too, with about 20 washers and 20 dryers.

Another great stop is the Rainbow Casino in Wendover, NV on the Utah border. They have a large truck parking area, with a truckers lounge you'll want to check out. The showers are always free, and they are really nice, right down to the Egyptian cotton towels they give you to use.
While you're in the lounge, pick up a coupon for the buffet across the street in the casino. it's a really large buffet, with everything from Prime Rib to crab legs. With the coupon, it's 50% off. The last time I was there was a couple years ago, and at that time the buffet cost $9.99 with the coupon. It's a great deal for sure.
