We would grade the Tiger prawns as big as under 8 to the pound. These were allways destined for the profitable Japanese market. Most common grades were 8/15 per pound, 15/20 per pound and 20/25 per pound. Our main target species was Tiger prawns, we caught what we called an Endevour prawn and Red spotted king prawn as well.We would get them all in the trawl but depending on the time of year we could see an increase or decrease in the ratio of differing species that we caught.
I will find some more fishing pics and put them up tomorrow.

Hey Pete my friend! Thank you very much for calling me this morning... it was great to chat a little at the end of the trip. :yes2557:

I drove for 13:30 hrs from OK to TN. And after I returned car to travel agency and got in my vehicle and arrived at the hotel, I totally collapsed in bed :biggrin_25521: and took a 3 hr nap... :biggrin_2554:

Put over 1800 miles on that little rented Elantra... Was in Oklahoma City but sooooooooooooooooooooooo busy that I forgot to take pics... :biggrin_25526:

After checking a bunch of cheap hotels in the area, this is where I stayed for 2 nights... The room smelled like.... well, very weird :biggrin_2552: But on the second night I got used to it and so tired that I didn't really care... It had stains on the carpet, little ####roach on the wall... It was U$ 50.00 per night, which was the cheapest I could find... Compared to where I am here in TN that was outrageously expensive.... Anyway...

After a busy Monday and Tuesday in Oklahoma City, I went to another town on Tuesday afternoon... But the only pics I was able to take were these ones...

It was great to be on the road again... even if in a little "fart bucket"... :biggrin_2559: Drove all night last night till 6:30 this morning.

Glad to know you all are doing well and keeping this thread pretty alive and going strong. :biggrin_25519:

So glad to know you made it safely to your destination, Rocks. Is this the beginning of your new adventure, or just a stop along the way? Best wishes for you ~Hugs~

The average digital watch is more powerful that what they took to the moon!
Smart phones are space age comparibly speaking.
It took BIG BRASS Cohones to do what those guys did!

I got in at 18:45ish last night. Just didn't feel like getting on here.
Another day of 5. A long run and one heavy 4K to finish the day.

First thing today I take a 25# empty crate to over by 290 and beltway 8
Seems like a smart car could handle that. At least I don't have to hook and drag the trailer over there.

Rolled into the Salina "P"tro around 7ish. Was almost MT so fueled, then pedaled over to the streakin-beacon and sat in line for about an hour. Finally got a good wash, cleaned off the hydraulic fluid, and promptly ran out of hours. With only a couple, and I do mean that as in two (2), parking spots, I proceeded to back. Well last night was not my night for backing. I couldn't hit my butt with both hands and a mirror. Thankfully, there were 2 real kind and helpful drivers that helped me out. Didn't have the CB on 19 so couldn't hear what was probably being said. Anyway, this parking slot was on the backside of one that an OS was using. He wasn't OS by width, he was OS by length. So I risked having my nose hang waaay out. Most of the time I get to tuck back between, since my trailer is only 39'.

Went inside to shower, and I guess I need one of those "rewards" cards. So what's the reward? Funny how they come up with the ridiculous names for them. Even though I spent, ok I know it's the boss' money, just shy of $900 for fuel, I still had to pay. The insert expletive here working there was of no help, didn't have a clue on what she was doing. Then when I and another driver tried to access the shower rooms by code, they didn't work. She had to get someone else working there to help us. Oh and she's not a newbie, I've been here a few times and she's always been the one working late night/early mornings.

So, my truck and I have had our shower, truck is full, and will be heading to Hays with the dust, have a 9am appointment/dump time. So that means that I'll probably get to dump around 10. By 10:30 I'll look like I haven't showered in a month. Just love this stuff. It's like someone takes a huge powder-puff full of powder and smacks you with it.

TB, I've been reading your posts about moving, moving to the city? I mean in the city? OMG, how could anyone tolerate living there? My step-daughter lives there, off of I35 and 87th. I think it's the Overland Park area, but how do you tell? It starts around Gardner and keeps on going...:biggrin_2559: I sympathize with you big time. I abhor moving, and have done it and helped others numerous times. Longest distance was from my old home town Emporia to Lake Jackson, TX. Hope everything works out ok, moved in, settled in ( two entirely different things), and back to normal.

ROCKS, what's happening girl? I must have missed some posts. Read where you took a little car for a 1200 mile adventure? On vacation, finally getting away from that company that ran you ragged? Hope everything works out better for ya', you certainly deserve better!!

At the end of a line of about 20 trucks waiting to unload corn. Should've stopped at the Pine Cone for breakfast. :(
