Normally I'd advise against leaving a company so soon in a 1st year. You're unable to stay running because of equipment. I advise against it because it's seldom an upgrade, but you're based in Illinois so that gives you options. At least you aren't trying to go from Western to something like Schneider. Then that's a lateral move.

 

Why would an employer WANT a new driver with only 3 months experience. 3 months means you have barely driven any trips on your own without a trainer in the truck. Good companies don't hire inexperienced drivers or almost inexperienced drivers. When good companies hire drivers the higher the number of employers in a 5 year period the less desirable you appear to them. If you were interested in marrying a woman, the most dangerous bet you can make, and you found out she was married 5 times before or 3 times in the last 5 years you'd think what does that mean about her, I would hope. It's largely only just acceptable now to work ata company less than 12 months because there are so many trash companies and trashy drivers in the industry. Just a couple of years ago anything less than 1-3 years at an employer meant you should only be considered carefully. Then it went to 1 year, and now some companies are accepting a few days or weeks as experience. It's only getting worse by the month and everybody is wearing flip-flops like a prisoner.

 

Some companies require a certain mass of hair. Some companies requires certain number of hairs at least 1.5 inches long. For the smart alecs that shave their head, you just volunteered for having hairs from other places yanked or being turned away for a refusal to submit the sample. The answer to every trucking question is generally "it depends on the company".
