I'm looking into building one or more truck washes around the United States and evaluating what factors should be considered for an optimally-located wash. I have a few questions.
    • How often do you get your truck washed?
    • What sort of attractions would you want near a truck wash? (truck stop, restaurants, etc.)
    • Do you get your truck washed at different frequencies during different parts of the year?
    • What time do you usually get your truck washed?
    • Do you have any loyalty to any particular truck wash company/site?
    • Would you want a truck wash close to the sites you drop off / pick up loads?
    Thank you!

We do need more truck washes out there for sure. Environmental concerns and NIMBY folks probably make it pretty hard to get approval. What I'd like to see is a huge air dryer as you're driving out, like a car wash has, now that would be something original and a way to attract business.

Separate lane for wash outs. I hate having to wait behind a wash out and would hate having to wait in line just to get one.

Someplace close to the highway, quick off, quick back on.

You put a decent truck wash east of Knoxville TN (Southern VA on I81, western NC on 40) and you'll be a billionaire in no time. Good thing too because it will cost you that billion up front to find the land.
    Numb Thanks this.

Co. trucks usually need a P.O. from the co. to get a wash on the road. Most will allow one a month. Depends on the co. Some co. drivers couldn't care less about keeping equipment clean. Most truck terminals have a wash system. The actual truck wash needs mulyiple bays, I hate beacons with one bay and a long line waiting.

Please build a truck was out near Gila bend AZ. Lots of trucks running thru there everyday on i8..lots of cheap land available and room to build to your hearts desire... I gotta go all the way to PHX to get a truck wash or stop thru when I'm coming home and it gets dirty as soon as I pull in my driveway

At SR611 on I-90....Avon/Sheffield Lake, Ohio. If I had the resources it would already exist.

If you build it I will run it....
    jamespmack and TheLoadOut Thank this.

And no truck wash period near Lansing. By NW MI, I assume you're referring to the Traverse area? Odd, due to how much produce moves out of there.
    mitrucker Thanks this.

Washed every week sometimes every other week. Needs to be close to Exit 168 where the truckstops are. Several large areas for sale there that would be excellent. Lots of local companies that need to drop off trucks to be washed and trailers to be washed out.
