It kinda does. But that's a new truck. It was Keen. He was having fun trying to explain to the highway worker that he was on a permit and they wanted him to run thru town. I'm not exactly sure how that works. When I ran cranes I never ran into that situation on a permit.

 

He should have called the highway patrol. Smokey would handle the rest.

Every one of the OSOW crowd will run into that situation, where you’re on the permitted route and you run into some sort of road construction. STOP. Call the HP. They will contact the State or even escort you.

I had one in Illinois pulling a pedestrian walking bridge that was long and wide. Came up on a road construction single lane bridge. It was the contractors fault. We had to back all the way out.

 

Remember you need 24 consecutive hours off before the 75th hour and you need 24 hours off to change cycles. I got a warning and a 24 hour "holiday" in Dunmore (Medicine Hat) a few years ago.

 

Picked it up today, needs a few things but we should be ready early next week.

 

@Tall Mike you notice anything thing or the lack of something on my headrack crossmember? Apparently we are left to think here...

 

@sawmill, have you tried Modelo Negra? IMO, it’s a good food beer. I tried it on south Texas, and it surprised me. Now, it’s one of my favorites.

 

It was actually a wreck. They said a fatality but later I heard truck fire so I'm not sure but they said it was going to be closed a while. Not sure how it ended I didn't stick around long. They backed us out and put us on 40. He wasn't real wide but I know it was tight for me in town.
