Where is everyone #5

I heated it where we were welding. It's a pretty low grade aluminum. My intention was to just stitch/tac it back together... My buddy that owns the welder had other ideas.

 

Yes but if you look at the link for the part I posted the backside is pretty tight getting into.

I've already spent more time on it then the part costs....

 

A toaster oven set on high for 2 hours before welding and 1 hour after then down to medium for 2 or 3 hours and 2 or 3 on low.
This is how I was taught to weld or even braze cast.

 

This was the first time I've ever welded cast aluminum....I knew the process for gray iron and never even thought about it here.

It's not a big deal and was alot of fun.

 

As long as you had some fun.

 

Kid walks in tonight and says that air compressor is supposed to be blue....

Well it's six months old and was rusting on top and the bendix blue was coming off and I was painting black so that's what it got.

 

Yer truck, yer engine, yer can - o - paint. Carry on !

These are real good. Not spicy like most not overly peppery. Taste like a home made one.

 

Well ####. Mad but not mad. ####ers wont unload without last load paperwork. Mfr that was over a week ago the office has that paperwork.
