Winner.
That's actually the worst thing about trucking in general. No matter how well of a job we do, we all are still graded according to the least common denominator. Dumbed down. Stupid-proofed If a driver isn't smart enough to walk and chew gum at the same time, they outlaw chewing gum. Now, we get to rub elbows and work side by side with Dummy. And Stupid is still going to screw up. He's Stupid, remember?. Why are the deskjockeys surprised that despite all the efforts to create a safe work environment for Stupid, Stupid is going to screw up? They knew he was stupid when he injured himself with the chewing gum and walking.
I went to a jobsite, and I pulled a pocketknife out to cut something. A safetyman runs up and tells me that knives are not allowed on the jobsite because some moron cut himself. Seriously? So when Moron stabs himself in the gums with a fork, are you gonna ban forks on the jobsite and demand that everyone eat with spoons only?

When I got my engine built, I realized that in top gear, going uphill in the rain, with a heavy load, the drives will spin out. I thought the clutch was slipping. I am real easy through the gears because I don't want to break anything.Nostalgic, Superhauler, jamespmack and 8 others Thank this. -
We recently got a company wide message about abusing PC, because of the same stuff. I will use it liberally to go and do stuff when Im not hauling a load. But I won't try to deliver a load while on PC. The company remedy is anyone abusing pc 3mo loss of it, 2nd offense is a short suspension and 3rd is termination.cke, D.Tibbitt, jamespmack and 3 others Thank this. -

We have to fuel at PFJ outfits. If we get into a situation way up north then I will fuel up at the last stop make delivery and head back south. If I need fuel to get back I’m allowed to get just enough to get to pfj outfit. I will call dispatch and tell them.
as for PC were allowed 25 miles but you can’t advance the load. It won’t be long till that’s gone as well.cke, jamespmack, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 6 others Thank this.
