Steers in my neck of the woods were running around .80 cents a lb on the hoof, 1000-1200#- $800-$960. Transport it yourself or for extra cost. Butchering is $30 kill fee, .66 cents a lb hanging and cut & vacuum seal. My last one in December was 880# hanging, cost $580.80, plus $30, tax $48.86, total was $659.66. Everything labeled and vacuum sealed, cut the way you want it. Like you said, beef sticks, baloney, etc is extra (a lot)....

 

I took a break from the beach today... gave my skin a break...
It was another boring day... did some groceries... then walked to the seashore... and back to the apartment... All kiosks are closed, all businesses closed... people walking, jogging, riding bicycles and skateboards... Same old thing....

 

Right on, I know the area. I have family in Kankakee, Bradley, Bourbonnais, Grant Park and momence. I have a large extended family.

 

When referring to those kind of guys, dad always said they could blow up a onion sack.

Uncle Glenn refereed to them as being windy as a sack full of a ss holes.......
