That's not a bad looker for sure, but yeah, maybe a bit rich on the money. Hard to spend that on one when trucks are still pretty cheap. How'd the frame look on it?

 

Yeah, I've got plenty of power, It just seems like it always something with this engine. I've had it 4 years now and no ####, have dumped near 100k$ just into the engine.

I can still buy a complete C15 for 40k$ and change, and wish I had done that instead of the first overhaul.

Now, I'm not complaining really. It's made me a fuqtun of money, hasn't left me on the road, and it gets worked like a rented mule.

But still....

 

Looking through my pics don't think I have one of the 5th wheel, rear frame area but I remember it being a lil pitted, looked like it was painted over. 1988 on truck paper if ya wanna give a gander for sheets & giggles..

Cat was a lil seasoned looking too..

Yeah, that doesn't include the drivetrain work, and that’s me doing all the labor. I think I need a new mechanic. A good driver would probably help too.

 

This sweet little FLC came wheeling into the quarry yesterday morning when I was there. I could see yellow paint through his fender, but I know nothing else about it.

 

The smoke here is awful. The hill in the background of the bottom picture is only about a mile away.

So I am currently sitting in Carrington ND, not because this is where I wanted to stop but this is all arm chair diagnostics, I haven't got my meter out and started testing crap yet, my marker lights relay blows my clearance lights relay when I turn off the headlights and keep just the clearance lights on, normally I would just say f it and run without clearance lights, but when I check the relays, they are pretty warm to the touch, which ain't right and I don't want to start crap on fire. The other funny one with my lights is if I turn the headlights on without the clearance lights on only my high beams work..... So we are waiting until morning when I don't have to worry about lights and running her home so I can pull the fuse block and have a look see behind there

 

I guess "Pretty Fly" isn't new slang
