I take 34s on the road and I normally take them in places pre-determined by an ELD and not always my first or even second choice.
Plenty of nights where I would’ve enjoyed having it for my time off. Which can exceed 10 hours at times because I’m a stepper... you know![]()

Because it makes it easier for them and keeps the competition down. They want to bring a guy off the street, put him through CDL school, sign him up for 2 years and send him down the road. Not that there is anything wrong with that necessarily for a guy that wants/needs to get paid while he learns, but it leads to unbelievable turnover for them because their operations are horrible.Al.
