I just bought my husband a Blue Tiger Blackbox for Christmas and we are curious as to best placement for it. The Freightliner Cascadia has a center brace in the windshield which obscures partial view. Any help would be appreciated.

I have mine mounted almost all the way to the top of the windshield and just to the left of the center strip, just offset of center. Some will say "Well, what if it's raining?" Yeah, it's not in the range of the wiper, but honestly, it really doesn't have that much of a negligible effect. It also allows you to still move both driver and passenger visor with no obstruction.

Ran my wiring from a 12 volt, 3 outlet center, which is mounted on the right side of the cup holders, back to the left, underneath the trim, up the pillar trim to the top where the windshield meets the gasket and in front of the visors, back across to the right, connecting it to the unit. I've had it like that for over a year now with no problems.

I've had one from videodashcam.com for a couple years now. I have had some video posted before, but lately I have been posting videos privately to youtube and sending companies the link to the video if I see a driver do something REALLY stupid. I have been contemplating a new night vision camera.

I usually twisted the camera to the left a little. My main goal was to get in front and both fenders if possible in view.

I send them the link to the video on youtube. The video can is only accessed via the link. I don't feel it necessary to broadcast the bad actions to the general public. I rarely post videos, the actions have to be fairly bad.

I have an older model that they do not carry anymore. Not sure what brand it is. Some made in china off brand I think, but it serves me well. I would like a night vision one as I drive a night almost exclusively.

I have a F900L HD I purchased off of ebay. I originally bought a Top Dawg dash cam from a T/S. Wasted 100.00 after it worked for a while (Less than a month) and the LCD screen went into the jibberish mode. Did a little more research the second time around to find something more along the lines of a MobileVision Cam we used in our police units, but cheaper. Wound up buying the F900LHD. There are quite few chinese knock offs of this camera, so I did my research and got a genuine F900.

Mine is set up to film in what's known as "loop Mode." No problems with this cam at all. I haven't posted any videos, but I did find one on youtube which is exactly the same cam I have.
