Between Texas (Houston) and Florida (Jacksonville) where would you relocate to? Is one better than the other when it comes to loads?
Where would you go as an owner operator?

Texas, TN or Florida have no income tax iirc do one of them, depending on what you want to haul
-
TX & FL may not have income tax, but what about the insurance rates. MS has one of the lowest rates on truck insurance, much better than FL, not sure about TX...

Florida isn’t great. Not sure about Texas outbound these days. I know rates going in there weren’t that great a year or so ago.

What will you be hauling? Usually tx and fl is cheap because of the snow birds, TN in kinda right smack dab in the middle that leaves you a bit of options

-
Neither but Tx if I had to choose.

Best thing would be to scout out local freight rates. All depends on the type of work you do. Florida is difficult to say the least, TX will have better outbound freight. But there are always exceptions, Florida can have some honey holes, definitely more difficult to find.
