I'm making 43 cpm on most loads, empty and loaded. Some of the shorter loads are fixed rate, and they generally work out to about 50 cpm or a little more. I was told I'd make 1200 - 1300 per week gross running regional but it's been more like 950 per week gross if I exclude the couple of weeks that I ran long. Counting the long loads (LA, Phoenix, Ontario) it's been about 1100 per week gross. So I'd say you're doing pretty good, @19d, not that me being new at tanker is the best person to compare it to. My home time is about what yours is, too, even though this is "regional."
I was making a lot more running a sort of Western 11 / Denver regional when I was flatbedding. I was on track to make 70k or a little more last year before the heart surgery. All mileage, with a sliding rate depending on how long the run was, flat $50 for less than 50 miles, $75 for 51-100 miles, 69 cpm 101-150 (I think), then down in steps 62 cpm, 58 cpm, 55 cpm, 52 cpm, 50 cpm, to 45 cpm for loads that went more than 800 miles (I think). Plus accessorial pay (but their tarping pay wasn't anything to brag about). It was a lot more work, though, but I love flatbedding. I just don't want to tarp any more.G13Tomcat and slim shady Thank this. -
