Rhode Island only has one place to get fuel at if you have NASTC and it was the first place that I looked into. NASTC currently has a price of 3.26/gallon at the West Greenwich TA. TA is currently pricing fuel at 3.76/gallon. Speedway in West Warwick is selling diesel for 3.10/gallon. Of course it isn't as convenient as the TA but one would save $32 below the NASTC discount for a slight nuisance while not paying their 400 dollar yearly monies. Surely don't have to deal with long lines of steering wheel holders taking their 30 there either. So that's $132 saved just in one 200 gallon stop not counting the 400 you pay a year for the card/membership.

Just looked up another one. Breezewood PA. It's like 4/gal at the TA and across the street is the Sac Shop for 3.66/gall. NASTC is 3.58/gal. One can save .33/gal just by going across the street. To each is own but NASTC will never get another dime from me again. They're just another leech IMO.

Yeah, I crack up at the guys who are getting reamed royally in some of these lease op deals on their rates, etc , yet talk about the "big" fuel & tire discounts they receive ;-)

They'd be bankrupt before the Carrier got what they wanted out of them if they didn't. Gives them a false sense of revenue.

Huh? I'm not upset at all. Paying 400/year to save .08/gal isn't something I would recommend to anyone. My point is one can save the same, if not more if they did a little research or were willing to step outside of the norm. By all means, continue to pay for a discount that some leech company is making bank off of though. Everyone cries about rates but if some people would stop throwing money away those rates would carry a lot further. We have so many people in our pockets and taking from our blood, sweat and tears so I'm a little shocked when I see people help doom themselves. To each is own though, carry on. I'll digress and unwatch this thread.

I have NASTC and very satisfied. Fuel almost at TA/Petro. Price without tax are almost the same. Take shower daily. Have good fuel. Safe places... Recommend it!

    .08X 200 gal is $16 ...Times 10 fill ups a month is $160 . Times 10 months a year is $1600 a year minus their $500 dues as you say (it’s really closer to $400)... net $1100

    To each his own.....

I don't put 200 gallons in my tanks 10 times a month and I certainly would never do it 10 months out of the whole year. Furthermore, you're only using one of the two examples I've provided. The first example I posted one would have saved ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY TWO DOLLARS in one 200 gallon serving not including the 400 that would have been thrown away to another parasitic organization on top of it all. I stopped following this post to avoid arguing with you over this. You have your opinion and I've made mine clear as well. You want to continue bashing my opinion on the matter please do so without pulling back into it by quoting me.
