6 months OTR experience, looking at these three companies; any suggestions, info or advice would be welcome. Thank you!
Which is best for a relative newbie: May, Navajo or Western Express?

I like Navajo Express, but which company makes those Florida runs more often?Robert Eroica Dupea Thanks this. -
Western Express is a 'second chance' company. This means they generally pay less, and have older equipment because they hire some drivers that other companies will not.
May used to have a pay option where they guaranteed pay to drivers, even if they drove no miles - ONLY if the driver was not offered a valid load, they will not pay a driver that simply chooses not to drive. This tells me that May occasionally has no miles for their drivers, or they would not offer that pay option to retain drivers. If they have nice trucks, and you feel like you are making enough money, that is not necessarily a bad thing. Just a little worrisome.
Navajo has been around a while. Their trucks mostly seem to be newer trucks in fair or better condition. They do sometimes pull doubles, but other than that, I know little about them.Robert Eroica Dupea Thanks this. -

I think their new trucks are Kenworth. -

I personally prefer reefers over dry van. Navajo pulls reefers and Western Express doesn't.
If I was going back to reefers right now, the choice would be between Navajo Express or Freymiller.Last edited: Dec 14, 2018
