Once? I can't count the number of times I've seen drivers dealing with the ramifications of poor choices made 11 hours earlier. Some were on the verge of tears trying to find a way to deal with the very difficult situation. But I get it. Some places are "safe" to nose in if you're okay with later backing into a busy area of a parking lot with pedestrians and vehicular traffic, totally blind.

I’ve gotta go with the International Prostar driver. He has a sweet nondescript truck, probably a Maxxforce engine just about to come apart, a push button automatic and is perfectly lined up to where he can pull ahead and park on the fuel island to go get a shower. It doesn’t get more supertrucker than that.

With truckstop fuel pumps catching on fire it’s probably safer to nose in

How would it make any difference which way the tanker pulled in? I'd rather get the trailer hit than my tractor. And it would take a heck of a hit to cause problems with the integrity of that tank.

If you are seeing what I think you are seeing, you are not seeing what you are actually seeing, ya see?

I noticed you edited it and corrected what you saw, so I'll reflect those same changes. Now you see it.

    Wargames and shogun Thank this.

Well, probably because there would be a tractor they would need to push through before reaching the trailer.

Just because you don't care dosnt mean the people next to you shouldn't either.

How do you figure it takes more room? My truck is 73 to 75 ft long retrieving on where i have my fifth wheel set at that moment. It ain't gonna suddenly be shorter if i back in vs nose in.

I nose in if at the end of an isle where i will have a straight back to get out. I do this for 4 reasons.
1:so i don't have to listen to the rattling pos reefers and apus operated by guys too lazy to tighten up all the loose bolts and sheet metal screws.
2.so i don't have to breathe the exhaust of someones apu or grass burner truck.
    3. So swift, cr england, werner and crst don't rip my hood off.
    4. Because i can.

the only time I pull straight in is at Elkhorn, Wisconsin Fleamarket, that way my trailer door drops down and set up all our Antiques and make some money.
