I have done seen a white volvo on the haul road today, first one I have ever seen. lol
My wife works for the volvo dealer, and they are suppose to begin testing one, but this was not a new one. I am thinking it came from outside with a load to prudhoe.
Anyway, If I don't see it dead on the road somewhere when I go back, I will assume it is possible one can make it up there. lol

To be clear, it was WhiteVolvoGMC. It was a sad day for Astro or General fans.
-
This was just a volvo, white in color, not one of the old white road boss trucks turned volvo. lol
Did astro and general actually have fans? lolBean Jr. Thanks this. -
201 Thanks this.

Volvo will survive in Alaska. Many Volvos are working in Norway, Sweden, Siberia..

Bean Jr. and daf105paccar Thank this. -
The only issue I see with the typical Volvo when running off road is the ground clearance, well lack thereof. The VNX looks like its better suited for real work. Leave the door slamming to the VNL's.
daf105paccar Thanks this. -

The problem I see most that would prevent white volvo trucks from surviving in Alaska are the drivers. Flip flops and track suits aren't proper attire for northern climates. Also, where might the drivers park their rigs for showers and 30 minute breaks. There simply aren't enough fuel islands in Alaska.

I guess winter sneaks up on them in NY.
