Whiteout Conditions Possible In SE Wyoming This Weekend

“Good morning! We’re tracking a low pressure system (Low #2 on graphic), in the Gulf of Alaska that is going to impact our weather here in southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle Sunday night into Monday. This low will bring colder temperatures and increasing chances for snow above 6500 feet for much of southeast Wyoming. Winter Storm Watches have been posted for the North Laramie Range, Snowy Range and Sierra Madre Ranges for Sunday and Monday where over a foot of snow is expected. Lower elevations of Carbon and Albany Counties likely to see several inches of snow as well, leading to slick/snow covered roads and hazardous driving conditions. Wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph are expected with this snow as well could lead to whiteout conditions along Interstate 80 from west of Cheyenne to Rawlins. Those planning outdoor activities in the mountains, be prepared for winter weather conditions and poor visibility through the weekend. Check back with us on this developing winter weather event as the low gets closer to our area.”

I'm in central WY. It was warm last night when it was previously cold.

It usually warms up before it snows and the clouds are starting to turn dark. Feels like snow is on the way to me...
