    My bed is identical . 24 1/2'. Just for comparison - the biggest load that I haul is two Traverses. Back one will overhang about 30"

    The extended cab is just over 11 ft bumper to back of cab. 25 foot bed should put it at about 36 ft total. They have an option for 2.5 feet extensions. That should keep me under the legal 40 ft without overhang.

    Wondering if aluminum bed upgrade is worth it, what truck are you running and how much do you scale empty?

    Pretty sure that is one of my old trucks, I had 5 of them built around 2012, all identical.

    They only have progressive in NY and pretty much said the same thing my current agent said.
    Progressive is garbage.

    I currently pay about 14k for my current setup. Unlimited miles, 1 mill liability, 200k cargo with comprehensive and collision.
    I tried to do the online quote for a flatbed car hauler and it is limited to 500 miles, 1 mill liability with comprehensive and got a quote for 22.5k without cargo insurance.

    This is ridiculous... :confused::mad:

    Time to move away from Progressive IMO. I have seen them really mess up carriers. You have enough time on your numbers to get good rates. They will get better as time goes on. If you have a incident with Progressive your rates will skyrocket. Depending what type of incident with other insurance not so much.

    Buy a cheap piece of land in MO or a cheap house and move your company there. You will get the same insurance for about $8k /year or less.
