Did a load for Source Direct Logistics on 8/3, they haven't paid, answered phones or emails. So on 10/4 we filed on their bond. They just denied the claim saying our company's name was handwritten on the bill of lading. The bond company is TDF Financial Services out of California. If you do a search, it looks like they do this all the time. Who do I write to or complain to. This is ridiculous, we are a small company and 1700.00 hurts. Thanks in advance.

If the BOL's say pre-paid, go to the shipper. If they say collect, go to the receiver.

Do you have anything else as proof of delivery? Where did you get the BOL from?

Send them to collections. Or take them to small claims court

Yes start with shipper or receiver. They are past 30 days it null and voids carrier aggrement. Plus solicit them while your on the phone.

Hey if you can get there business steady, it can make the lost money not hurt so much. Think of it as an advertising expense.

    DSK333 and jamespmack Thank this.

The BOL came from the shipper. Nothing else. But how can a bond company do this?

They can't if you have proper proof of delivery. Hence my question. Does your contract state the BOL cannot be handwritten? Can you have the receiver verify delivery to substantiate and further prove your job was done? If you have the required proof they have to pay. Also, try posting this in the Freight Broker section for better results. Also, if the load wasn't delivered why isn't a claim being filed? The fact they aren't coming after you for theft shows they received the delivery.

Are you sure the product isn't exempt? What was it?
