who is responsible? to provide an ELD Company or driver

Part of the Samsara system, is forward facing cameras. He only has access to my time behind the wheel. Samsara doesn't track anything else. Unlike Google. Or any other tracker system already in your phone.

 

Once you log out of truck they don’t know where you are . I set location to only when using app .

 

Been lied to by companies too many times to actually believe that. Maybe true, but I won't trust it as truth.

 

My company got tablets for every truck with unlimited data. I don’t like the idea of using my personal phone for ELD because it basically requires you run phone all day. I stream music and podcasts so those app are running in background. I choose to use them vs a boss say you have run ELD app all day on personal phone it’s a more wear and tear on the phone battery in my opinion and the phone can get hot running screen all day. They should provide a tablet with data and mount on the dash for it.
