Don't see a lot of posts in this area and am curious who else here is running Belt Trailer. Please share if you are. I am also curious of the following if you're willing to share:

Where are you primarily running? Are you primarily local, regional, or across the country?

How often are you running "ag exempt"?

What general range are you looking to gross income this year?

Are you a company driver or O/O?

    To start off with me:

I primarily run ag products in Utah, Idaho and Northern Nevada. Occasionally haul salt and landscaping bulk (bark, peet moss, compost).

I run ag exempt daily and work long hours and 6+ days a week. I spend most nights in truck but am still relatively (3-4 hrs) max from home if family emergency occurred and usually am home 2-3 nights a week. (Even if only for 5-8 hrs).

I'm a company driver with a great, small company that's a subsidiary to a large dairy in Utah.

I'll gross over $100k easily this year.

Thanks, I've seen a lot of hopper and end dump ag guys post since I have been browsing this forum but not any Belt Trailers.... So was curious.

Sounds like you're doing pretty good. We ran belt trailers in northern California and southern Oregon for several years hauling mostly shavings, chips, and bark into landscaping companies and co-gen plants.. A lot of the mills have gone to on-site processing to generate electricity and the trailers were sitting too much so we sold them.
Most of the ag-exempt work around here is seasonal and really cheap besides.

I'm looking to get one now for aggregate and asphalt for next season. If my truck was finished and had the wagon I'd be going full on right now, lots of work and premium hourly for a belt.
I'm up north of you, central Idaho. The end of next season I'll let you know how it went!
